Steamed Tofu/Bean Curd Slices ( 鴛鴦蒜素鵝蒸豆腐 )

Ingredients
  

  • 350 grams of bean curd (1 pack)
  • 700 g pack of tofu
  • 1 ½ whole garlic
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 red chili pepper depends on preference
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Mince all garlic using a gratter or blender
  • Pan-fry approximately 1 garlic on a pan. Add a pinch of salt into the fry.Mix the raw garlic into the fried garlic.
  • Cut tofu and bean curd into rectangular slices. (preferably the same size to cook evenly)
  • Dice green onions and red chili pepper
  • Place the green onions and red chili pepper into the garlic mixture.
  • Place the some of the mixture onto the serving plate
  • Place tofu and bean curd in a pattern like form onto the plate as shown in the picture.
  • Add the rest of the garlic, red chili pepper and green onion mixture on top
  • On high heat, steam for approximately 10 minutes.
  • Serve

Notes

  • If you like a stronger aroma , pan fry more green onion in a separate pan and pour the boiling green onion and oil onto serving plate.
  • Use a toothpick to poke holes in the bean curd to allow the bean curd to absorb the variious flavours before placing it in a pattern like orientation with tofu
