How to Break Down a Whole Turkey (如何處理火雞)

Guyssss you’re in for a wildddddd turkey ride 🙂 We’ll be coming out with multiple turkey recipes so stay tune! Before any delicious recipes we need to first learn how to break down a whole turkey. Yes I am serious. Buying a whole turkey is just more cost efficient and you get the best flavours because you get to decide what to keep and what not to keep.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 5.4 Kg Frozen Turkey 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Put the whole turkey with the package in a lower rack of the fridge for about 5 days to defrost.

After defrosting, remove packaging and take out the turkey’s neck inside the turkey.

Wash both the inside and outside of the whole turkey. Remember to wash the turkey’s neck as well.

After drying the turkey, use a paper towel to wipe it up thoroughly.

Cut off the both thighs and wings 

Cut off the breast and backbone of the turkey.

Peel off the skin of the breasts and cut out along the bones into 2 portions.Then, cut them into big pieces.

Cut the turkey’s neck and the breast bones into small pieces. Use these bones for a future soup recipe.
