Steamed Fish: Golden Pompano Ver. Recipe ( 豉汁蒸金䱽魚 )

Another steamed fish recipe for you ! This steamed fish is an amazing edition to add to your collection of recipes. This fish is so simple. I’ve actually made it myself so I’m not joking when I say its super easy to make. This steamed fish recipe is best for those who are intimidated by a real live fish :). Hope you enjoy your steamed fish!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 frozen golden pompano (600g)
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp black beans
  • 2 tbsp steam fish soy sauce
  • ½ tsp chili bean sauce
  • 15g ginger
  • 2 green onions

INSTRUCTIONS

Defrost the fish, remove all internal organs and wash.

Drain and remove all the water from the fish. Make two cuts each on both sides.

Remove the root of the green onion and cut it into strips.

Peel off the garlic and cut it into small pieces.

Wash black beans.

Add 1 tbsp of oil with ginger and garlic. Mince both. Add chili bean sauce and steam fish soy sauce to make your own sauce.

Apply the sauce you make on both sides and inside of the fish.

Steam the fish for about 12 minutes on high heat.

Boil 2 tbsp of oil on the wok. Turn off the heat and add green onions. Pour on the top of the fish. Serve.
